Disposable Cameras – Great For All Occasions
Providing disposable cameras for wedding guests to capture those unique special moments increases in popularity each year.
Couples have realised it adds to the sense of the occasion and gives the opportunity to record forever the memories of family and friends. But if you are going to be paying out for a large number of these cameras what should you look for and how can you ensure you don’t waste your money. These five top tips will help you.
Calculate how many guests will be attending your reception and depending on how they will be seated, calculate how many cameras will be required to share among them. A good level would be either one to two per table or about one camera per eight guests. Of course you can adjust the number once you have calculated the total cost.
Remember to account for the cost of processing the films afterwards. Most disposables will be loaded with between 15 and 27 exposures. This might seem like a lot of photos to have developed but processing labs are usually quite costs effective. Note that some packages also include the costs of processing so that can be a bargain and an overall saving.
Choose the film speed of at least 400 ASA or higher as lower speeds may be insufficient for good pictures if your reception is a location that is not very brightly lit. A logical solution is to choose cameras that have a built-in flash and these need not be any more expensive.
Pick cameras that will compliment your color scheme and wedding theme. You can customise them with the bride and groom’s names, wedding date and more and even bridal couple’s images but this will add to the overall cost. A less expensive choice is to select cameras bearing a standard ‘wedding theme’ of confetti decoration and the like or simply color matched to your dress theme.
Buy in bulk to save costs. Buying individually may not seem more costly but companies realise it is more costs effective for them and better value to customers to provide bulk packs of ten or twenty-five photo kits. Even if you over buy a few they will come in handy for any that may get broken or damaged during the celebrations.
